Hello to new watchers, and apologies for not having been active on this page for a little while; I’ve been playing way too much Sims 3 and indulging in end-of-year parties here in my uni! It’s been a great few weeks, and I’ve just been told I have no viva for my thesis, which means unless I’ve failed terribly, I’m safe! You see, the only reasons for vivas is if you’re on the borderline between pass and fail or if your two examiners have wildly disparate marks. Since neither is the case, either I’ve safely passed or failed extremely badly.

It seems that in my absence I’ve limped over 20,000 views, for which I would like you all to imagine Freddie Mercury saying ‘I thank you all’ in ‘We Are the Champions’. To celebrate, I wanted to put up a photo I took of a street scene in Verona that I like very much, but I’ve lost the electronic copy, so instead, I’ll put up the picture of a wheelbarrow in a graveyard I took the first time I was trying out my DSLR, three years ago now. It’s a little naive, the light settings and sharpness certainly not up to what they could be, but the image has always stuck with me and I still rather like the picture.
