Silly edition!

Taggèd! And as this one’s quite interesting, I’ll do it again. But this time, without the serious seriousness.

1. From the ages of 16 to about 19 I almost exclusively went commando.

2. In 2001-2003 I was a BNF (Big-Name Fan) in the Harry Potter fandom, despite not liking the series at all.

3. I can lick the tip of my nose. Great talent!

4. I have been into lots of bands before they got big and unfashionable. These include System of a Down, Slipknot, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil and Opeth. I don’t think myself a better fan because of this, don’t look down on the newer fans and definitely won’t abandon the bands just because people think them uncool, or assume I’m following a bandwagon. I think it’s very silly to change opinions because of what others think.

5. I eat far too many biscuits. While I write, before I sleep, watching films…must limit biscuit consumption!

6. I have a great fondness for owls. As a child I had three strygine soft toys: Owly, Mad Owly and Owly Supreme. (This one is a repeat, but it fits here!) I still have them all! I love my Owly.

7. I often make out that it’s a hassle getting IDed just about every time I go in a pub or club, but I love it.

8. I once wrote a play about Werewolves and a Vampire seeking sanctuary in a church. I think that if I went back to it and removed all references to them actually being supernatural creatures it would be quite good.

9. Even though I won a national award, I find the fact that I used to write a hell of a lot of poetry faintly embarrassing, and the publications I managed, that one award (for youths and awarded to some dozen people a year anyway) and the little volume that I naively jumped to get included in without realising that it was blatantly a vanity publishing project all bring more shame than pride.

10. I bite my nails. I don’t think I’ll ever kick this bad habit.
